An injury riddled Westminster squad squeaked by Salisbury 2-1 this
afternoon at Salisbury. Salisbury opened the scoring late in the first
with a goal by Rob Peters. Westminster answered in the second on the
power play, as senior defenseman Josh Hoffman danced around a Salisbury
forward and got a good shot on net and sophomore Adam Swain jammed in the
rebound. Early in the third Jeff Natale corralled a breakaway pass
from
Mark Szematowicz and streaked in and beat Salisbury goalie David Sandals
for the game winner. Craig Grenier made it stand up with a strong
performance in net, with 27 saves.
