Prep Schedules -- Check 'Em Out
We not only have all the New England Div. I prep schedules up on the site (click on the drop-down menu on this page's left-hand column), but they are fact-checked, too.
We did it the old-fashioned way -- line-by-line, by hand, with a red pen. We were as careful as possible, and double-checked every entry, but that doesn't mean there might not be a mistake or two. With that in mind, we are asking for volunteers to check the posted schedule against a school-issued copy you may have in your possession. If you see a mistake, drop an email to information@ushr.com ASAP.
We will be fact-checking a second time as we put together the 2002-03 Northeastern U.S. Division I Prep Composite Schedule Book. (The book should be ready for mailing by Thanksgiving. We'll have more info on that early next week.)
We will also have the "weekly game results" link, found on the upper left-hand corner of this page, operating within the next week. At that point, we will also be ready for box scores and rosters to be submitted via our new high-tech (though very easy to use) forms. We have a few minor things to work out -- some tweaking, if you will -- and not a lot of time to do it in. The new design has been more time-consuming than expected!
When we're ready, we'll post a brief tutorial on how to post to the site. Over the next week, we'll be putting out the call for volunteers from Div. I schools to sign on as USHR reporters. We'll be looking for someone who attends every home game, and can afterward fill out our box score template and upload it directly to the web. That's the minimal job description. Generally, box scores are compiled by a team's coach, though the coach may assign the job to any responsible individual he wishes. Often, that's an assistant coach, a student manager, a fellow faculty member, a correspondent for the school paper, a parent, etc. All things being equal, we'd prefer that players not do it.
If you are the coach and would like to do the box scores again -- roughly half our reporters last year were also head or assistant coaches -- please let us know if you will be doing it again. If you are not a coach but would like to do it, please clear it with the coach, and then let us know who you are so we can get the proper info to you. It's not a hard job, and your work will be much appreciated by fans, players, parents, alums, scouts, college recruiters -- and this typist.
Please contact us via the e-mail link above. Thank you.

Caveat Emptor -- for now
We've posted about 90% of the prep schools schedules (see drop-down menu in left-hand column). However, they haven't all been fact-checked yet. We're in the process of doing that and will let you know when we're done, which we expect will be in the next couple of days. We'll also be coming up with printer-friendly versions of each.
As soon as that's done, we'll unveil the new weekly results section -- and more.
